This years X Factor finalists have hit the top spot with their charity single, You are not alone. The track, which is raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, sold 193,000 copies this week, making it the second highest selling single of 2009.
Judge Simon Cowell told the Official Charts Company: “I’m very proud of the single and I really hope it raises an enormous amount of money for people who really need our help.” It has been said that the other judges are all over the moon.
Trust Louis to turn this success onto himself, saying that he’s happy that John and Edward have had their first number 1!
