Summer must haves: designer vs. high street

What would you do if you woke up one day with an unlimited amount of cash to spend of whatever you like? Miss Drama Queen would go designer, that’s for sure. We’ve picked our top ten designer accessories for Spring/Summer 2010. If, like us, your reality is more high street than haute couture, then never fear as we’ve found the cheaper alternative to each of our dream designs.

10. This Emilio Pucci silk scarf is perfect for chilly days this summer. The colours are exquisite and more than on-trend. This scarf can be found on www.net-a-porter.com for £110.  If the £110 price tag is a bit much, take a look at this gorgeous Marks and Spencer scarf. It’s only £15, and almost as fabulous as its Emilio Pucci counterpart!

9. Lanvin C’est Le Pompom Cabas leather tote, £890.

This tote from Lanvin is perfect as a carry one when you’re jetting off on holiday or as a bag around town. It’s big, beautiful and practical. If spending the best part of £900 on a bag scares you, then River Island do a gorgeous leather tote for just £59.99.

8. No holiday wardrobe would be complete without amazing beachwear. This Matthew Williamson bikini is £150. With the electric blue material, and snake print trim, this bikini is one that will certainly get you noticed. A cheaper but equally as stunning bikini is the one pictured below, from www.figleaves.com. This blue bikini with jewel detail is just £38 for the top and bottom.

7. You know it’s summer when the flip flops start to make an appearance. These mustard Marc Jacob bow flip flops are beautifully designed and cost £235. If it’s detailing that you’re after but at a lower cost then these Monsoon Flora sandals are a steal at only £25.

6. Louis Mariette hairband; £145.

No Spring/Summer wardrobe would be complete without some dazzling head gear. If the stunning Louis Mariette piece is way over budget, then take a look at Accessorize for some stunning hair accessories. They start at £7 and we just love this Fajita Flower Alice band, £12.

5. Feel sexy this season in the hottest nightwear. This Burberry chemis will set you back £395, or you can go for a La Senza vintage chemise for £20.

5. Miu Miu pink wedges, £310.

Wedges will be HUGE this summer, especially in pastel shades such as pink or baby blue. Next do a beautiful pair of cork bottom wedges in pink (£35), with added jewelled details for that little extra something.
