Dannii will work from home, casting her eye over the auditions via video so she’s ready for Boot Camp. The vibe about Dannii is more than positive, as she had a great year last year. A spokesperson for ITV said:

“The producers will meet Dannii this week to discuss the logistics. We want her back, it’s just a question of how, as she’ll give birth in the middle of things.

“It’s about working out how to work that into the show. We could film Dannii at her house to show viewers she was still closely involved.

“Then we’d make a really big deal about her return after giving birth.”

Speaking on last Saturday’s X Factor, Cowell said that he would not make his final decision on the track until he knew who was in the ITV1 shows final.

“We have part recorded a number of songs this year. I’m going to make a decision next week as to what the winning record is going to be,” he told The Xtra Factor.

“Different tempos, different kinds of songs, but I will 100% make the right decision for the two finalists. I’ve heard a couple of them already and they are really good.”

Two songs on the cards are reported to be Miley Cyrus’ The Climb and Journey’s Don’t stop believin.

The X Factor final is on  Saturday 12th December on ITV.

When asked if he was annoyed with Cheryl Cole’s [Lloyd's mentor] song choices for him, Lloyd blamed the theme weeks more than his trusted mentor. Lloyd claimed that the themes did not suit his singing style, especially the Diva, Queen and Elton John weeks. Lloyd confirmed: “The problem is that the theme weeks get you down really. The song choices were great, but the themed weeks were not picked for you.”

Lloyd rubbished claims that he was contemplating leaving the show after Louis Walsh criticised his singing: “There was no truth in that at all. I was never going to leave or quit. I did have a bad day, one day. Not in a really bad way, I was just really tired, wanted to lie down and go to sleep for a while,” he said. “But by the time everyone had done all their sound checks and then I went to do mine, I was fine.”

I was impressed with the point that Danni was trying to make about it being a singing competition. We need to remember that the X Factor is about the talent, but good luck to John and Edward.

Singing “Faith”, Lloyd actually seemed to have a bit of a sparkle this week. He looks amazing and sounded much better this week. This was a good song choice for Lloyd, well done Cheryl. Louis says Lloyd hasn’t got the best voice in the competition. Can someone whose only act is John and Edward really comment on this? Have you got faith in Lloyd or will he being going home tomorrow?

Stacey

Did she make you love her tonight? She looked great but sounded a bit dull. Her voice is amazing but tonight she didn’t blow me away. The only judge who agrees with me is Mr Cowell, who called it “mechanical and clumsy”. That being said, she’s a lovely girl and Danni is working wonders with her.

John and Edward

I’m your man… really?! God really loves a trier. From the start you could see they didn’t have that certain something that they had last week. The rap and remix was a touch OTT and seemed a but like someone was trying to hard, Louis Walsh! It was blatant that the backing track was removed this week, but at least they weren’t being forced to cheat. I do wish Cheryl would actually give an opinion instead of sitting on the fence. Once again, the only one talking sense is Simon.

Danyl

Careless Whisper…

The judges are still undecided on Danyl. I think he made a good job of it and gets a very hard time. It was a bit flat in parts but still a million times better than John and Edward when it comes to talent! I still don’t get how Louis can sit there and comment on the talented contestants vocal skills, when his act are Jedward!

Olly

I absolutely love Olly but this song wasn’t perfect for him tonight. To be honest, so far the whole George Michael night hasn’t been great. Olly has the moves and can entertain! Once those tuning issues were sorted out he was great. Olly is going to be a superstar. Brilliant! Olly to win in my eyes!

Joe

The sweetest guy on the X Factor, Joe, sang Don’t let the song go down on me. Once again he was practically note perfect and the song choice suited him extremely well. Cheryl has had a great week this week with her song choices. Louis is gettin on my nerves with these “rules”. Shut it Louis you idiot! Joe sang like a professional and as I keep saying Louis needs to remember his act!

While being interviewed by Paul O’Grady, Louis said, “Dannii is playing a blinder this year.

“She’s worked really hard, she’s very professional and she gives everything to the show. I have to say – everything.” This comes as a 180 degree u-turn as Louis and Dannii famously rowed in 2007 and 2008. Things came to a head last year when Louis made Dannii cry on the live shows.

Let’s hope this love and peace goes on for many years to come.

Why would ITV and Simon Cowell do this when the twins clearly have limited vocal talents? Money! The shows has had it’s highest ratings this series, no doubt with great thanks to Jedward’s appearance in the live finals. Rumour has it that the twins are getting all the help possible to keep them in the competition. Cowell now hopes that they reach the finals for entertainment and ratings value.

Although the other contestants like John and Edward, they must be getting sick of this preferential treatment. There are also reports that Simon will certainly sign the twins after the competition. Funny how times change.

Shakira’s performance

Latin lovely Shakira performed her new song, Did it again, tonight. Her performance didn’t blow me away mainly because I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. When I hear Shakira on the radio I thoroughly enjoy her music but can’t help but feel that she’s a bit of a let down live. The performance was bigger than her talent tonight. When you look at how outstanding Fergie was last week, Shakira really isn’t a perfect example for the finalists.

Great Ormond St Charity Single

Such a good cause and the VT showed just how worthy the charity single is. Covering Michael Jackson’s “You are not alone”, the final 12 acts were together on stage again. Once again, the miming on this live show wasn’t great, but the sentiment of the song is perfect. This is one single that must be downloaded NOW! Miss Frank looked like they couldn’t be bothered and I’d totally forgot about Rikki, but all in all this was a decent performance. Speaks volumes that Joe and Danyl got all of the stronger lines to sing. What did Jedward do?!

The results

Tensions are high in the studio. As recent weeks have proven, it’s anyone’s guess who will go. Will talent finally win over entertainment? Should it all be about talent anyway?

It’s time to face… the results!

Joe, Danyl, Stacey, Olly… this is tense! Final act certain to return is… John and Edward. Totally justified that Jedward stay to be honest. I’m not a fan (far, far from it) but Lloyd and Jamie are weak. I really couldn’t call it as neither of these guys are great. I have a feeling it may be time for Simon to lose one of his acts. Hopefully he’ll lose some of his smugness too!

Jamie’s performance

A shaky start to this performance, and to be honest it proves Louis right… his hair is bigger than his voice. Something about this guy annoys me. He does try but just doesn’t do it for me.

Lloyd’s performance

The teeny boppers love him but he has a shaky voice. Paulo’s song is great and Lloyd doesn’t do it any justice. He is better than Jamie going on final performance. Cheryl’s screwing Lloyd over (not literally, of course) as it’s clear her favourite is Joe.

The verdict

Simon and Cheryl kept in their own acts, as suspected. It is a contest I guess. Louis kept the young boy in…what a shock! Dannii… will she go for deadlock or have some balls? Deadlock Dannii… these judges are so annoying. What a waste of time in getting them to sing again. The public sent Jamie home and I do think that we made the right decision. Simon’s face was priceless.

So, Jedward survived and dull Jamie has been sent packing. I can’t say I’m surprised. I wonder what will happen next week, I’m past guessing!
